New supercapacitor doubled the distance of the electricotocycle

In order to demonstrate the high efficiency of the new supercapacitor, NAWA has created an electric motorcycle, which, despite a small battery, is able to drive up to 300 km.

The presented NAWA RACER is a single prototype, will not be carried out in the future and is not for sale. In fact, it is only a visual advertising of the company’s main product — Ionistor, which is capable of collecting much more braking energy than other existing alternatives.

The motorcycle is equipped with a small lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 9 kWh. Above it is a supercapacitor for 0.1 kWh, which collects 80-90% of braking energy, which is many times more than the battery can accumulate. Thus, the motorcycle can pass in urban conditions up to 300 km, which is almost twice as compared to the mileage of the bike with only one battery.

The developed NAWA ionistor is made of carbon, relatively inexpensive and has a mass of only 10 kg. However, it allows you to increase the rated battery capacity of about 65%. The use of the battery to obtain this increase will greatly increase the mass of the vehicle.

Another advantage is the increase in power. Racer is able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h per 3 seconds. At the same time, the supercapacitor can be applied in other models of motorcycles, cars or other electrical vehicles.
